Driving Directions to PETCO Park:

FROM THE SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

  • Head west on Airport Terminal Rd.
  • Slight left to stay on Airport Terminal Rd.
  • Slight left toward N Harbor Dr.
  • Turn left at N Harbor Dr.
  • Turn left at W Laurel St.
  • Continue on El Prado.
  • Turn left to stay on El Prado.
  • Turn right to stay on El Prado.
  • Take the 2nd left onto Village Pl.
  • Turn right to stay on Village Pl.
  • Take the 1st right onto Park Blvd
  • to Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd, San Diego, California 92101.

With PETCO Park ideally located at the hub of San Diego County's public transportation network, taking the Trolley, Coaster or bus to the ballpark area is a safe and convenient way to go.

Ride the Trolley to the Ballpark:
The Metropolitan Transit System Trolley network is an attractive option for those traveling from the north, east or south. The Gaslamp Quarter (5th Avenue & Harbor Drive) and 12th & Imperial Trolley Stations are located within two blocks of PETCO Park. Park-and-Ride Lots are located along all Trolley lines, providing the convenience of leaving your car behind. Park-and-Ride Lots, with more than 5,000 parking spaces, are located along all Trolley lines, providing the convenience of leaving your car behind. In addition, there are 5,000 free parking spots available at Qualcomm Stadium (excluding major event days at Qualcomm Stadium). Additional parking is available at Hazard Center (lower levels only) on nights and weekends.

During San Diego Padres home games, the San Diego Trolley provides "Special Event" service from Qualcomm Stadium and Mission Valley stations to the ballpark area via the Convention Center route. These trains serve all Mission Valley stations (except Mission San Diego & Grantville), including the Old Town Transit Center. This more direct service shuttles passengers at frequent intervals before and after home games. The Trolley's Orange, Blue, and Green Lines will also offer enhanced service after night games. Take the COASTER from North County:
The COASTER is a convenient way to travel from North County to every Padres home game. Easily accessible with free parking from coastal communities, the COASTER lets you avoid summer traffic on I-5.

For southbound trains going to San Diego with easy connections to PETCO Park via the trolley at Santa Fe Depot:

  • Monday-Friday there are numerous trains heading downtown.
  • For Saturday games starting at 7:05 p.m., fans may catch a train departing Oceanside Transit Center at 4:33 p.m. making all stops and arriving at Santa Fe Depot at 5:35 p.m.
  • For Sunday games starting at 1:05 p.m., a train will depart Oceanside Transit Center at 11:05 a.m. and arrive at Santa Fe Depot at 12:08 p.m.

After the game, northbound trains depart Santa Fe Depot:

  • Monday-Friday trains depart Santa Fe Depot 50 minutes after the last out or special event with a time certain departure of 12 midnight.
  • Saturday-Sunday trains depart Santa Fe Depot 50 minutes after the last out or special event.

Regular round trip COASTER fares range from $10.00 - $13.00; Senior/Disabled round trip fares are $5.00 - $6.50 and include FREE Trolley connections. MTS Buses Serve the Ballpark:
Another option is to travel to PETCO Park is by MTS bus. Many convenient bus routes serve PETCO Park, including Routes 4, 11, and 25, which stop right at the ballpark's front door. Also, Routes 3, 5, and 16, stop on Market Street, just a short walk to the ballpark. If you are traveling from South County, Routes 901/902/903 and 929 come right to PETCO Park. All of these bus routes use the 12th & Imperial Transit Station, Imperial Avenue, Park Boulevard, and 10th Avenue/11th Avenues.

By Ferry:
The San Diego Bay Ferry departs from the Coronado Ferry Landing Shopping Center to 5th Ave Landing (behind the Convention Center) at the following times: 9:17 am, 11:17 am, 1:17 pm, 3:17 pm, 5:17 pm, 6:17pm, 8:17 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays; 10:17 pm. Returning from 5th Ave Landing to Coronado at 9:25 am, 11:25 am, 1:25 pm, 3:25 pm, 5:25 pm, 6:25 pm, 8:25 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays 10:25 pm. The ferry costs $3.50 per person, each way. By Water Taxi:
On-call Water Taxi service is available by calling 619-235 TAXI(8294). The Water Taxi services downtown San Diego, Coronado, Harbor Island and Shelter Island. The rate is $7.00 per rider, each way. Minimums may apply. The nearest drop off point to PetCo Park is the 5th Ave Landing (behind the Convention Center). The taxi operates from 10am to 10pm, most days. Please call for availability.
